The CZ 527 is a compact bolt-action rifle designed mainly for hunting and precise shooting at medium distances. Thanks to its light weight, controlled-feed action and quality barrels, it is popular with hunters and sport shooters who value reliability and accuracy in small centerfire calibers.
Compatibility of CZ 527 rifle magazines
In this category you will find magazines for CZ 527 rifles in various calibers, such as:
- CZ 527 Carbine
- CZ 527 Lux
- CZ 527 American
- CZ 527 Varmint and other CZ 527 variants
Magazines are not freely interchangeable across all calibers; always choose a magazine made for your specific CZ 527 variant and caliber. Each magazine is designed for a given cartridge type and feed geometry, so using the wrong one may cause feeding issues.
Which magazines will you find in our offer?
You will mainly find detachable box magazines for 3–10 rounds, depending on the caliber and specific CZ 527 model. Most CZ 527 magazines are made of metal for durability and long service life. For some versions, lighter magazines are available, which reduce the overall carried weight of the rifle.
Why look for a new magazine?
There may be several reasons why you purchase a new magazine:
-
Wear: even if you clean the magazine regularly and thoroughly, it is a consumable part and is subject to wear. A new magazine therefore restores reliability and feeding consistency.
-
Damage: impacts against rocks, trees or the ground, as well as falls or excessive pressure in a backpack or case, can deform the body or base and affect function.
-
More magazines = more convenience: having only one magazine slows you down when training or hunting. Additional magazines let you keep different loads ready (for example, practice vs. hunting ammunition) and reload the rifle faster.
-
Increased capacity: for some CZ 527 versions you can choose between lower-capacity flush-fit magazines and higher-capacity magazines that protrude slightly below the stock.
-
Material and feel: you may prefer a different magazine finish or construction than the one supplied from the factory – for example, a coated steel magazine that better resists corrosion or matches the look of your rifle.
Tips for magazine maintenance
For the reliability and long service life of the magazine it is important to maintain it regularly and correctly. How to make the magazine serve you long and well?
1. Regularly clean
After every use in the field or at the range, remove the spring and follower (according to the manual) and clean out dust, mud, plant debris and lubricant residues from inside the body and from the base.
2. Do not over-lubricate
Apply quality lubricant only in a very thin layer to the moving parts. Too much oil attracts dust and grit and can cause feeding failures or sluggish movement of the follower.
3. Regularly check the spring and follower
Inspect the spring and follower for cracks, bending or excessive wear – especially if the magazine has been dropped or subjected to heavy use. Deformed parts should be replaced in time to avoid malfunctions.
4. Do not carry a magazine loaded to full capacity for long periods
Constantly compressed springs wear out more quickly and may lose tension. If you store the rifle for a long time, it is better to unload the magazine or at least reduce the number of rounds.
5. For steel magazines, occasionally check for corrosion
Wipe off moisture after use in rain or snow and check the surface from time to time. Light surface rust should be removed early so it does not spread or affect the movement of the follower.
